Coaching reflection on research
You know what I began to believe? The fact that the Dolphins’ franchise’s victims are a kind of curse. OK, it is perhaps not a curse, a century perhaps this is just a terrible series of bad luck. And, yes, I am tenacious Red Sox fan thought that the curse of the Bambino. Maybe that has something to do. But bear with me for a second. Just in recent years (I do not want to go even farther back in the era Wannstedtian) These things happen:
Franchise operating Ricky Williams back in the bottom, twice born lengthy suspensions for the season drugs;
Upon Williams’ first loss, the team Trades a third round pick of the St. Louis Rams again for the Exploitation of Lamar Gordon, cuts, rescind forthwith its key leg in his first match and whole season;
Dolphins, the winningest franchise in the NFL since 1970, finally goes in the tank with a record of 4-12 in 2004. For their wages, they receive the amount in the second draft pique-2005 - which will, as the draft lowest ever (Chargers LB Shawne Merriman, 12, is the only star in this day Bonafide). With franchise Quarterback are not available, it is not realistic for dolphins to do about the prudent use and trade. They were forced to adapt No. 2 and select RB Ronnie Brown, a solid, but unspectacular. During 2006, the Dolphins have been Reggie Bush, Vince Young or D’Brickashaw Ferguson. In 2004, Philip Rivers, Sean Taylor, Ben Roethlisberger, Jonathan Vilma and Vince Wilfork nails. Instead, the Dolphins a top pick to a dud a project;
And now, after abandoning the left of Nick Saban, Miami could be one of the lowest in coaching swimming pools, replacing a certain time. If Saban lasted a year and will keep the dolphins might have in the ranks of experienced coordinator Brian Schottenheimer (Jets), Mike Tomlin (Vikings), Jim Caldwell (Colts) and Josh McDaniels (Patriots), plus the head and the Bill Cowher coach Bill Belichick (when he left the Patriots). Instead, the Dolphins’ finalists are Jim Mora, Chan Gailey, and now Mike Shula. Too bad Saban not wait another year for music.
On my thoughts on the three finalists:
Jim Mora: Ask stop it, Jim Mora, Jr. He and his father have limits of the middle, so they are junior and senior. Of the three, although it would be my preference a former defensive coordinator. Mora mesh with the 3-4/4-3 and does not have much on me in a way that extent, with the very good coach of General Staff of Miami already in force. It is a good energetic young man, the face of the Organization for the year - provided it signs a treaty which has totally abandoned there are bars of his mandate;
Chan Gailey: Very nice man. Although NFL coach. Offense beard. I have nothing against the fact that much of him as a candidate, but can someone tell me if the dolphins are to succeed, these Dallas Cowboys Coaching-inzestuösen runway. I think Jimmy Johnson, Dave Wannstedt, Chan Gailey, Norw Turner, Gailey, and perhaps? I know he likes while the CEO of installation, but Wayne Huizenga still recognize that other franchises as cowboys 1990’s was a success, is not it?
Mike Shula: not the right time. If it is not already a rising star in Jason Garrett is waiting on the wings, I do not have a problem with the investigation Shula Dolphins offensive coordinator. But the head coach? No, it’s not like Shula, it was a success OC before the trip to Alabama - he was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And while he does not have great talent to work with (Trent Dilfer and Shaun King were his QBs), Shula’s crimes rank 28, 29, 22 and 28. He went back to a Dolphins QB coach of Alabama filed their image ahead of substance. Shula has a commendable job with the Crimson Tide and was denounced wrong, but that does not mean he is ready to accept a head coach of the NFL.
