Insurance Info difficult to find
A consumer group said, many states are not enough, seeking information for consumers to buy insurance.
The Consumer Federation of America, a report evaluating all 50 states and the District of Columbia on information provided to consumers curious.
“Consumers need good information, by the labyrinth of the complexity of insurance,” said J. Robert Hunter, director of CFA for the insurance sector and the former Texas Insurance Commissioner. “It is the duty of States granting of good consumer information to assist in this process.
The report highlights seven countries CFA did a good job to help consumers evaluate insurance products. Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin got an “A” for their efforts.
Five states, Georgia, Idaho, Rhode Island, South South Dakota and Tennessee will receive an “F”, or failing that, class, the CFA good for consumers or guidelines for Sans.

FSC assesses the various countries on responses to written questions from state to state insurance commissioners. The written material was then evaluated for content and usability.
